ThoughtBubble Festival 2013

Hey everyone!

Yesterday I went to ThoughtBubble Festival, it's a Comic Convention in Leeds and it's one of the main ones I go to every year. I love the con because it's one of the few that remains mainly for comics and artists especially - I have a casual interest in comics, but the artists are the main reason I usually go to ThoughtBubble. It was really lovely to see artists that I purchased work from last year and see what new stuff they have!

I also got a chance to wear my Angelic Pretty Melty Chocolate OP which I haven't put on in years, it took me so long to save up for it so I feel scared wearing such a valuable dress, haha. But it really is one of my favourites and I feel so lucky to own it, I need to wear it now and then!

Doki Doki Manchester 2013

Hey everyone - so I forgot to write about Doki Doki, how could I forget! Doki Doki is a Manchester based Japanese festival, and unlike a lot of anime related events, it has a big focus on the traditional culture of Japan too, which is really great to see.

I was lucky enough to work in the Maid Cafe as Maid Sari - I transform into my magical Maid persona, and when I wake up, it's all just a sparkly dream...

ImagesOnAWall took my photograph at Doki Doki, thank you so much!

Sailor Moon Cosplay

Our Sailor Moon costumes arrived! <3 I actually didn't expect it to be such good quality, well done Bodyline! It was really fun to design my own Sailor Scout - Sailor Sally! In the end I was pleased with the co-ord, the colours matched better than I expected. The red actually matched nicely.

Pokemon X

So for the past week, my life has been spent pretty much just playing Pokemon X. I know, I know, 45 hours is a little bit excessive I admit. But, the new Pokemon adventure has so much to offer that I've been sidetracked many times to the point where I was going on epic quests to obtain just one Pokemon or item.

I've used the Amulet Coin the entire way through my adventure just so I could afford all the clothing items; they are crazy expensive, I don't know what's going on there!

Halloween: Sailor Moon

Hey everyone, hope you are well!

Halloween is approaching and it's the time you can cosplay and not get funny looks. <3

I'm planning to create my own Sailor Scout from Sailor Moon with a bunch of my friends from work, really excited and I think it'll be a lot of fun. We really wanted an excuse to just buy more wigs, even though I have enough to open my own store by now.

The costume I'm getting is very much like Sailor Mars except the bow is Navy and not the Purple she normally wears.

Chibi Sunny 2013

So yesterday I managed to check out Chibi Sunny 2013, a mini-con in preparation for Sunnycon 2014.

It was a small convention, but really worth spending most of the day there! They had a dealers room, which was in the main hall. You could also get drinks from the bar, and upstairs from that they had a mini gaming corner with Street Fighter, Smash Bros, Pong etc. My brother had a bash at the tournaments and was miserably defeated, and then defeated by me on Street Fighter 6 times in a row.

A little about my job!

Hey everyone!

Just got home from work! I'm on call this weekend, hopefully I won't be needed hehe. Today I thought I'd write a little about what I do, and how I came to get there!

Currently I'm a Development Tester for Ubisoft Reflections. It's a job I got straight from Uni, and I've learnt so much about the game industry while working for Ubisoft. My first shipped title was JD4, and I was really excited to work on it because I was a fan of the franchise before, I had the first Just Dance game. The people I met along the way have since become some of my best friends! Me and the JD girls below. <3

Asuna Figure!

Hey everyone!

Today I got my hands on a really cute Asuna figure, from AnimeZ. I was quite a fan of Sword Art Online until season 2 really, and she's pretty badass at the start. This one is her in her action pose!

Sunday Antics

Ah Sundays, how I love thee! I'm at work a lot, especially at the moment, so having a Sunday to myself is so nice. Matt is assembling my new desk at the moment, he's already fixed up my glass cabinet for my anime figures! Most of them are from Japan, a couple (The Madoka ones) are bought from someone at work. So cute! The Hello Kitty girl was 500 yen, I think the most valuable are the Madoka figures. The others, I won in arcade machines in Japan.

Sushi and Bubble Tea!

Hey everyone!

How are you all doing? Gah, I've been working hard! As such, if I get the time I like to pop into town and hang out with friends. We often end up eating at some of the Sushi places in town, and this time we ended up at St. Sushi as we fancied some Bubble Tea!

This stuff seems to be really popular at the moment, and I've had it a few times before. It seems to have become a regular thing for me now!

Newcastle Streetpass Meet 03/08/2013

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to write about August's Newcastle Streetpass meet!

Gamers meet up now and then in Newcastle, to play 3DS, trade items and play Streetpass-related games. It's great to see the turnout, so many people there this time! A lot of my friends own 3DS' and have a love of Nintendo games, so it's a great place to meet people who have similar hobbies and interests, and complete your all important sets on Animal Crossing.

Above are a couple of screenshots from my game! Shooting stars <3

Review: Dolly Wink Pink Brown 02

Hey everyone! Today I'm doing a review of the Dolly Wink Eyeshadow in 02 Pink Brown. It was one of the many purchases I made in the Shibuya 109 building in Japan.

It comes in really cute packaging, similar to the style of packaging the lashes come in. The palette itself has 4 complimentary colours, and the box comes with instructions on where to apply the makeup. I used the instructions on the back and it can come out looking really cute! Although you don't want to overdo it or you'll end up with an overly pink and gold lower lashline.

Taobao Summer Looks

Hey everyone!

On this quiet Sunday afternoon, I've been doing quite a bit of taobao browsing; I haven't actually bought anything from there before but their range of cute dresses and such is really awesome! It can be a bit difficult to navigate, as the stores are always different and there doesn't seem to be a universal way to display much information.

I've been using YoYbuy to display information, you can paste the taobao link into their search box and get some more easily readable information. I think their shopping service looks interesting so I'll be checking them out soon.

One shop I'm really fond of is Candy Rain, they have a lot of cute gyaru looking things, very Liz Lisa-esque without the price tag. The dresses they have are really sweet and floral, great for summer looks!~ A lot of their stuff would probably fit a western girl too, they have free-size items but most of them would fit me and I'm of an average size. Would cost about £20 but I'd assume more because of other fees.

Welcome

Hey everyone!

Well, I've had many-a-blog, but most of them are themed in some manner which restricts me from what I can write. This blog is really just going to be a collections of my ramblings, pictures, reviews, opinions. It probably won't interest anyone but I like writing and I really enjoy rambling; so I guess nobody will have to listen to me going on in real!

I really just wanted a central place I can put all of my thoughts and ideas. I also like creating things so I made a pretty banner; found some cute brushes, so credit to milk-berry.net for those!

I'm not a very deep person. I don't really pretend to be, so this blog will probably be light-hearted rather than nitty-gritty, sorry if that dissapoints. I write far too much on the internet, wondering if this is actually a good idea, haha.

So anyway, I had my hair cut today, woohoo. I was sick of it because I hadn't had it cut since I went to Japan which was many months ago now.

I look in the mirror and realise that my hair is a difficult colour, which'll take some getting used to. But I think she's done a good job, so I'm happy to finally have a decent hairstyle! Wearing a Ma*rs dress which to be perfectly honest isn't a dress on me at all; it's far too short so I have to wear shorts underneath it. I'm not even that tall, pushing 5 ft 7 maybe. Another dress I have from Tralala is the same, must be too tall for Japanese clothing.

Anyway, have a good day people, speak soon!
